Black Cohosh (Cimicifuga racemosa) is a small shrub like plant, its roots are black in color hence its name given by Native Americans who for generations employed it among their natural remedies. It was traded with imigrant settlers who being impressed with its benefits sent it back to their home countries generations ago.

Containing isoflavones, triterpene glycosides, fatty acids and starches, many professional European herbalists have found extract from Black Cohosh to provide beneficial support for female clients.
