 Toe Nail infection
Known medically as paronychia, this infection is usually caused by a fungus, notably Candida albicans a yeast that often gets out of hand in the digestive tract. Less commonly, bacteria are the culprits. In either case it is a painful infection, which may persist unless it is aggressively treated. It is manifested by swelling around the nail bed, redness, discolouring of the nail and extreme pain.Oil of wild oregano is the No.1 choice for this problem. The oil has deep penetrating powers and aids in the destruction of fungus so apply 2-3 drops of the oil twice daily on the involved region. (for best results soak a piece of cotton wool, apply to nail bed and hold in place with a steri-strip).
